A Career Built on Live Performance
For more than 1,500 live performances, Ian Motha has entertained audiences throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Greece, France, and aboard international cruise ships. His career has taken him from legendary rock clubs and historic theaters to waterfront festivals, luxury resorts, private estates, corporate events, concert series, cruise ships, and internationally recognized music destinations.
Ian's performances have ranged from intimate listening rooms to major outdoor amphitheaters, with appearances at some of the world's most recognizable music venues, including the Whisky a Go Go and The Troubadour in Los Angeles, Venice Beach, The Cavern Club and The Casbah Coffee Club in Liverpool, England, Paradise Rock Club in Boston, The Middle East in Cambridge, Arlene's Grocery in New York City, Daryl's House in New York, and EPCOT at Walt Disney World.
Internationally, Ian has performed throughout England and Spain, including the Museu Europeu d'Art Modern in Barcelona, International Beatleweek in Liverpool, The Cavern Pub, The Jacaranda and theater performances at the Princess Theatre (Clacton-on-Sea), The Core at Corby Cube, St. George's Theatre (Great Yarmouth), and the Princess Theatre (Hunstanton).
As a professional cruise ship entertainer, Ian completed more than 300 performances aboard Norwegian Cruise Line and has also performed with Celebrity Cruises and MSC Cruises. His travels have taken him throughout Alaska, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, and Europe, with ports including St. Thomas, St. John, The Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Belize, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Iceland.
Ian has also developed long-running seasonal residencies in some of New England's most popular destinations, including Nantucket and Newport, where he has become a familiar performer at waterfront venues, breweries, yacht clubs, and private events.
Throughout New England, Ian has appeared at theaters, performing arts centers, amphitheaters, and concert series including Tupelo Music Hall (NH) The United Theatre (Westerly RI), The Zeiterion Theatre, Franklin Opera House, City Winery Boston, the Spire Center for Performing Arts, Ruth Gordon Amphitheater, The Regent Theater, Arlington, Lupos Heart Break Hotel Providence.
